Nestled along the banks of the scenic Maumee River just outside of Defiance, Ohio Camp Edward Drummond Libbey has almost 350 acres of fields, forests and ravines. An eight week resident camp program during the summer months offers a variety of programs for girls that include swimming,
canoeing, horseback riding, archery, crafts and more.

HOUSING

Camp Libbey provides two types of housing to accommodate campers. Each description lists the type of housing available.

Platform tents have wood floors, cots with mattresses and accommodate four campers per tent. The unit has a bath house with hot showers and flush toilets. Staff are located in nearby tents within the unit. Each unit accommodates 32-40 campers and staff.

Buildings have wooden beds with mattresses (some beds may be bunked), hot showers, flush toilets and can accommodate 8 to 32 campers and staff.

Buildings and large shelters are available for rainy days and some indoor activities. As part of a special program, girls may sleep in ground tents or at the corral/barn for one or more nights. Camp Libbey also has a main dining hall, pool, archery range, ropes course, climbing wall, administrative building, health center, and Trading Post.
